In Take Your Sweet Time, the cake with the candle symbolises birthdays and aging, and the simple checkerboard represents thinking of your next move while the clock is ticking. Finally, the phone represents anxiousness and excitement that comes from waiting for a phone call.

Marse Lee (Marnelli Gaerlan) is a personal art project that started in Manila, Philippines. With her signature palette of bright colours and intricate line work, the 26-year-old artist blends a quirky aesthetic with themes discussing the challenges of transitioning to adulthood and everything that comes with it. Since debuting in 2018, Marse Lee has collaborated with a number of artists, musicians, and brands from her home country.
