Visually inspired by an A24 Film “Midsommar”, this artwork portrays a rabbit with its torso mutilated while flowers blossom around it. The artwork represents the growing pains we experience as we navigate through life, the discomfort we feel leaving home, and the places we find comfort in as we grow and gain new experiences. The bottom half of the rabbit’s body is stuck mid-hop, signifying that although we leave bits and pieces of ourselves in the places where we came from, we bring other parts along as we move forward. The blooming spring flowers represent the new beginnings and opportunities that appear after any harsh season that we experience.
