Chayood Ngamekudomphong is a Thailand-based painter working primarily in oil, with an interest in sculpture, 3D modelling and printmaking. His practice explores childhood, innocence, happiness and the gradual loss of dreams as one grows older. Drawing on imagery of toys—often depicted as burning or distorted—his paintings examine how childhood innocence can be shaped by consumerism, social expectations and cultural narratives. By reinterpreting familiar objects from childhood, Ngamekudomphong reflects on the fleeting nature of happiness and the emotional pressures that emerge with adulthood.
