Set in 2003, in the small town of Puerto Princesa, Philippines, this artwork portrays the colourful memory of the artist growing up while watching an annual Kite Festival in their town. Although no longer celebrated and were lost in the town’s infrastructural development, this artwork serves a reminder for the artist of what they used to have when times were much simpler.

About The Artist

Kieth Pacardo (@kivth) is an illustrator and designer from Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. His art draws inspiration from nature, nostalgia, and human experiences.

Kieth specialises in textured grain and noise, building his works around details he admires in the people he loves, the natural world, and the small things that shape everyday life. Through his art, he aims to evoke a sense of calm and introspection—inviting viewers to slow down, look inward and see the beauty in ordinary.

Recently, he was selected to exhibit at the Manila Illustration Fair 2025 and worked on a children’s book illustration project in partnership with USAID and the Forest Foundation Philippines. His work has also been featured in Lifestyle Inquirer and Noli Soli PH.
