GOFY& Sweet Cheeks Keychain

Created for GOFY&'s Melting Thresholds exhibition in collaboration with gelato café Sweet Cheeks, these limited edition keychains feature artworks by Southeast Asian artists Shuuhuahua, Money Wang, Jaeyyelle and Nina Sach. A reinterpretation of Sweet Cheeks' iconic logo in their unique and bold styles.

Sweet Doodle by Jaeyyelle

Jaeyyelle approached the artwork like a colouring stencil, embracing a childlike instinct to trace, fill, and layer in her own elements. As a child, she wasn’t just excited to colour; she would outline the printed lines with black pens, making each page distinctly her own. This process rekindled that sense of unfiltered creativity, where playfulness and spontaneity shaped the final design.

Cheeky Letters by Money Wang

When first encountering Sweet Cheeks’ logo, Money Wang’s instinct was to give it a cheeky twist—literally. Known for infusing humour and whimsy into his work, the artist reimagined each letter with its own distinct butt, adorned with quirky details like a lower back tattoo or a hint of hair. The result is a lighthearted reinterpretation that embraces play, body positivity, and the joy of not taking design too seriously.

Cono di Sogno (Cone of Dreams) by Shu

The artist has reimagined the logo as a pool of gelato ingredients before churning, inspired by a portal to a medieval gelato parlour. Imagine wild trees, arrows catching rare cherries, and a trickster asking, “What magic flavour does your dream taste like today?” A character in a medieval hat appears, with a floating Hennin—a cone-like headdress—adding a surreal touch. Gelato is served in tiny goblets, blending whimsy with the unexpected.

Butterfly Sorbet by Nina Sach

This reinterpretation of Sweet Cheeks’ logo draws on themes of portals and dreamscapes. The fluid pink forms soften the type, while the butterfly adds a touch of imagination, acting as both a visual and conceptual bridge to the surreal.
