Created for GOFY&'s Crossfade exhibition in collaboration with cocktails-on-tap bar Draft Land, these limited edition t-shirts feature artwork by Indonesian artist Yoel Kristiandi. A reinterpretation of Draft Land's iconic logo in his playful style.

One Year of Charm and Jumble captures the inherent duality of life, reflecting the journey of a year at Draft Land through the lens of contrast and balance.

This artwork portrays the inevitable ups and downs we all experience, symbolised by the Yin Yang—a timeless representation of opposing forces that together create harmony. The inclusion of the Rafflesia flower further deepens this narrative; while the flower's striking beauty captivates, its pungent odour reminds us of the complexities that lie beneath the surface.

This juxtaposition of charm and challenge mirrors the experiences of a year marked by both success and struggle, ultimately creating a dynamic and memorable balance that defines the essence of Draft Land.

About the Artist

Yoel Kristiandi is a Jakarta-based visual artist. He began his career as a graphic designer at a design studio that specializes in building brand identities for lifestyle products. Now, as a freelance illustrator, he uses illustration as a medium of art and self-expression, and has created his own merchandise brand, Daylight Parking. His work is inspired by local Indonesian anecdotes, jokes, and nostalgia, blended with various graphic elements from 80s-00s cartoons and Indonesian-Chinese culture.
