This illustration started with a candy called Dolsatang that the artist found while wandering around Seoul. She loved the tiny pink and blue stars on its clear packaging. While drawing this piece, she started to see the jar as a place that keeps little hopes and dreams. The stars became a simple symbol of those tiny wishes.
Fun fact: completely by accident, the finished print ended up being the exact same size as the real candy!
