Drawing from a visit to Penang, Malaysia, the artist recalls a moment shared with friends over an abundant spread of dim sum. The variety and vibrancy of the meal became a source of simple joy, prompting the artist to capture the atmosphere of that experience.

In this work, that memory is reimagined through a visual language inspired by Penang’s aesthetic. By merging personal recollection with local aesthetic references, the piece reflects on how food, place, and companionship intertwine to shape moments of collective happiness.
